Val’s Scottish Tablet Treats
| I started making Tablet as a little girl with my late Mum over the peat stove in the Outer Hebrides in her family home. I still follow my Mums traditional Western Isles recipe, which I have shared with my daughter to keep her Gran and my Mums memory close to our hearts. I’m a bit creative and decided to add a little twist to Tablet making whilst still keeping the method of producing it traditional. I discovered that instead of just chunky pieces of Tablet, I could make it into all kinds of shapes, I just had to be quick at pouring and patient whilst it cools, it’s all in the timing. The only limit being your imagination. The Business has been running for 10 years and I am now looking to expand the business by producing bespoke Business Promotional Tablet. |
